Hand harvested- Piper Longum originates from India and is used mainly in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. The particularities of the terroir in Cambodia gives this long pepper a unique taste. It is harvested only when the berry is very ripe, maximising all the complex aromas of cardamom and nutmeg. It has a more pungent taste than black peppercorns, and is perfect with many salty dishes. It is also great with sweet and sour cuisine, desserts and chocolate. We recommend to break the long pepper in half and crush with a pestle, twisting as you go. You can also cut it in half and add it to your slow cooking dishes.
