Le Petite Gourmet Shoppe features something everyone will love: from gadgets that make gourmet cooking a snap, to all the
essential cookware, ingredients, and cutlery kitchen necessities. The shop was opened July 15, 2006 and makes a great addition
to the historical square of La Grange. Le Petite Gourmet Shoppe of La Grange, Texas is owned and operated by Donella Dopslauf-Cernosek,
a gourmet enthusiast herself. She had a popular shop in the early 1980s. Dallas based McLendon Company has helped her
to open her newest location. The McLendon Company has helped establish
and shape over 580 stores nationwide, and thier trusted expertise is sought after across the United States. So it's no
wonder Donella would turn to them to help with Le Petite. Donella gets her main purchasing ideas from the International
Gourmet Housewares Show in Chicago where the products are first introduced each year to the USA companies. She gets the
products in and shows customers how to use them several seasons before the "box" stores get them. She then closes
out of the products to make way for the new products just introduced in Chicago.
Not only is Le Petite a great place to shop for aspiring
cooks, but it's also a great place to find gifts for the person you know enjoys cooking -- with their great selections of
products, and their awesome gift-wrapping services. They can also put together some fabulous gift baskets with all sorts
After graduating from High School, Donella went on to pursue degrees
from Blinn College, Sam Houston College, and Texas A & M University. Her work experience includes many years as
a county extension agent in Gonzales, Victoria, and Colorado counties, plus her first Le Petite Gourmet Shoppe in 1981, along
with her family store D&D Ace Hardware in the 1980's. She married Frank (Jack) Cernosek and helped manage her husband's
business, The Post Oak Inn Club and then re-opened Le Petite. Throughout her career she has remained active and very
interested in the culinary world.
The shop is in one of the historical buildings on the Town Square. It's full of all
